North Bank Park
Columbus, Ohio
- As the first park to be redeveloped in keeping with the Columbus Riverfront Vision Plan, North Bank Park will set the standard for the entire urban riverfront.
- A major challenge of the site was the difficulty in reconnecting the urban environment with the riverfront.
- The solution proposed is to create an urban park area in the wide boulevard by raising the level of the park surface from the roadway while removing the embankment from the river.
- Winner of the 2007 James B. Recchie Design Award.
