Downtown Columbus Circulation Study

• MSI teamed with Burgess & Niple to examine the overall transportation goals for downtown Columbus. The study made recommendations on how downtown streets could be improved to better accommodate pedestrians and alternative modes of transportation such as light rail, streetcars, and bicycles.
• A road typology was given to all downtown streets and design standards determined. These standards included on-street parking configurations, streetscape and types of materials to be used as well as integration of light rail and streetcars into specific road sections.
